JCC Association is a 100+ year-old nonprofit organization, the affiliating body for more than 170 community centers and independent camps in the U.S. and Canada, reaching over 1.5 million people every week. JCC Association provides lay and professional development to a workforce of 30,000, and supports the U.S. military through a signature program of advocacy and outreach. The CMO is a critical member of the c-suite, charged with supporting leadership, guiding the organizations communication platforms, affiliate branding implementation, elevating the experience of all events, and maximizing the public profile to reach fundraising objectives.
RESULTS: • PR initiative and positive media response during multiple crises affecting member centers • Refocusing all communication and content to reflect business model transformation, new audience development, and philanthropic outreach

Developed the implementation tools and strategy for JCCs to adopt the first continental rebranding effort in more than a decade. Created proprietary training for executives and marketing teams to build a movement-wide understanding of the brand ethos and the fundamentals of marketing. Produced all lay and professional events, print publications, video productions, and digital offshoots.
RESULTS: • 100+ JCCs adopted the rebrand in under one year without the usual franchise dictates or funding

Brand governance for all network outlets, CPG, and digital divisions of both television cable brands: identity, mission, consumer positioning, and all communication architecture. Holistic creative leadership from strategic planning through production and marketing tactics. Managed all external agencies/vendors, sourced the freelance talent pool, supervised an in-house team of 15 to 50 creatives.
RESULTS: • Food Network top 10 broadcast channel, #1 food website, #1 culinary magazine, and NYT best-seller books • Cooking Channel brand foundations, from initial sales to light switch launch of consumer brand to 80 million homes
